so i got a cellphone ticket today =\... freaking cop pulled me over 2 blocks from school for talking on my cellphone while driving. lame... furthermore he made me get out of the car (i dont see why) and then when i was standing on the sidewalk he told me to pull my hands out of my pockets.... now im a regular cleancut asian kid... i dont see why i would be a threat to do anything to him....

anyway... to the point.... does anyone know how expensive this ticket is? ive never had a cellphone tikcet before i know it goes up every time.

 

From what I know you pay the "going rate" for a bluetooth headset....

but that could be totally BS.



I also find that this is a rather dumb ticket....since Bluetooth headsets or even wired headsets cost SOO much.

didn't you get the memo??? it's illegal to drive holding your cell phone to you ear...wait till they pass the law where it's illegal to text and drive.

 

i work for an online cell phone accessory store, i can make a receipt that says you just purchased one and you may be able to get the ticket voided. my buddy up north got a ticket and i made him a receipt. He said it was like a fix it ticket. i dunno about socal though....

 

funny I have no sympathy for you considering the following things. 1.You know its a law. 2. You weren't paying enough attention to traffic to see the cop before he noticed you were on the phone and put the darn thing down so fail on you since you weren't focused on the road anyways. 3. Your a regular "clean cut asian kid" hmm last time i checked i think that what irvine pd tends to look for. also if your excuse for not using one is about the costs of a bluetooth headset then go buy a wire headset its 10 bucks

 

sorry to hear about the ticket...but ITS THE LAW..this things are avoidable....

 

like others have mentioned, approx usd20 or so
police always want to see hands. if they cant, they get nervous. think about it, if you were in his shoes. he's just doing his job and trying to be safe as well
just pay the fine, it's only 20 something

i think its horsesh1t. ive seen pigs talk on their cell phones while in their cars all the time. especially in El Monte. So if people say, their doing their jobs bla bla, it's bull****. Cops can't smoke while on duty, they do anyways. I dont use a bluetooth or headset, i just put my phone down when i see a cop. of course, when i'm driving all i look for are cops cuz i hate being pulled over and going through their bull**** background check. Although, OC cops have been very nice to me. i got lost and was on my phone and the cop pulled me over for going 80 in the first lane of the freeway, gave me the right directions, said "keep up the good work" since i've been on good behavior for the past 4 yrs and said don't worry about being on the cellphone. maybe you were pulled over by a Sheriff? for the hands thing, cops don't wanna see your hands, they care less. Cops do things to be ******, my teammate is a sheriff in pacoima, and he says he rarely tells them to show their hands, unless he wants to be a jerk. ha ha. it all depends on who pulls you over. the night i got locked up, the cop didn't even tell me to show my hands....but they did say " open your trunk and get out of the car"

 

And i had a gun on my waist...so it tells you what kind of cops their are out there. it all depends on who gets you. and FYI, if you follow orders before they give them, THEY HATE THAT.

 

i hear you can actually ask them for a free bluetooth set or a coupon for one...if it is your first time. i wanted to get pulled over just to get a $25 bluetooth set. HAHAH
but too bad some of our cars have hands free bluetooth built in. T.T
but yea, ask if you can get that free/discounted bluetooth set.

 

really you can do that?!??! since that law passed, our sales have increased a lot. if u need a bluetooth, le tme know i can get you one from work at a good price.
