Default Place to get oil change - San Diego

Anyone know of a good reliable and reasonably-price place to get an oil change and service work done in San Diego? Lexus Carlsbad wants $70 for an oil change alone!

Thanks

If you can do your own. It's pretty easy, however on a new car Lexus will provide you w/ a service record and warrentee the work. Not to mantion $70 is not that expensive. I use Royal Purple in my Gs, but change my own oil. You do the math on my cost...

Im looking at just buying some Mobil 1 synthetic and taking my car to a local shop and having it done there. Lexus will still warranty the car as long as you have sufficient records of the oil change (even if its not through them).

doing it yourself is better.... some shops dont even change the oil filter and say they did.
IMO its better and you know you can guarantee your work. look into a diy, im sure some is owner has a write up for it. good luck

Charlie Auto Service off Miramar Road.

9220 Dowdy Dr., Suite C, San Diego, CA

You can watch him while he does the work and he'll do a thorough check of your car while he's at it. I think he's pretty busy right now though, he's got a lot of regular customers.
