I was planning on going to Vegas on Sunday and I think I'm driving. Got 245/30/20 and 275/30/20's. I heard some freeways were closed because of the icy weather. I plan on coming back Wednesday or so and it says light showers for the forecast, but will it be safe enough? Can anyone who was driving through the bad weather chime in? Thanks!

hey bro i live n victorville. u cross my city when driving to vegas.. the cajon pass was closed but now it is safe to drive. the day of the snow my tires would not grip and the traction was horrible! everything has started to melt. IMO ur good to go i drove to barstow 2day and it was a good drive.. but if u get off the freeway to get gas or eat at night, take it slow cuz of the ice on the road,u will not c it till u see the slip sencer.

This mean speaks truth.
I was in vegas this week (when they had record snow) and my car did fine. It snowed a good amount, but the roads were wet, not icy. By the time snow hit the road, it already melted a bit. Plus temperature was around 33 degrees. Just watch out for the sidewalks when the snow/water becomes slushy. It's slippery if you dont have the right shoes
