please dont flame this thread!!! i have not gotten a ticket in 5 years, unfortunately today was the day...LAPD officer (motorcyle cop) got me on the radar thought that i was racing another car...pulled me over and ask "do you know how fast you were going?" i said no...pull out his radar gun and then show me i'm doing 79 on a 35...i was like i thought i was doing 55 or something...he said that i could've arrest you for reckless driving and dangerous manuever but he'll just have to write me a ticket...He's seems very calm and givng advise, that i shouldn't be driving like that...he said that you seem very respectable person and YADI YADI YADA but still cited me for the ticket.. DOES ANYBODY KNOW HOW MUCH THE TICKET IT WILL COST ME FOR THIS VILATION....THNX...

oh man, he wrote 79 in 35?!??! that won't be pretty, that's 44mph over, that's probably like 500 bucks? you might have to go to court as well, and i am not sure if you are eligible for traffic school... i just hope it's still infractions not misdemeanor

for every 15mph you are over, it costs $200 bucks

that means you were going twice the limit which brings it to a wooping $400 bucks plus the actual speeding ticket which should be around $180-$240 depending where you live.
im guessing at least $580 but i also heard tickets this year went up so good luck.

I got a ticket for around $249 dollars going 70 in 35 zone.. and I ran a stop sign (don't flame). I was allowed to go to traffic school to remove my points, but I still had to pay the fine. I went to court and pleaded no contest.

I got ticket going 115 on the freeway. Ticket came out to over 1k. Which i paid wit my own money. The only reason i was going that fast, it was because it was the 2 freeway at 3 am. I was the only car on the freeway. Cop caught me hopping out of it. Called me a dumbass numerous times, called for back up. But let me go after calling my parents. I was only 17 at the time. The ******* told my parents that it would be really easy to find them since they all had their lights on.

true, but we were all 17 once. I remembered driving fast when I was 17

but the key is to learn and drive safe. of the 6 years ive been driving, I only got one speeding ticket (which I fought of), kekeke

I'm not complaining i was just telling him how much the ticket costed me. And that i obviously learned from the experience having to pay with my own money and only being 17 at the time. The cop was actually nice enough by not taking me to jail. But he could have written 99 instead of 115 so it would have been 1 pt instead of 2.
That;s that, i did deserve it, so i really dont need your opinion anymore.

I drive like a granny now, hahaha. I usually never even pass 4k.

i was going freaking 62 in a 45 and the cop gave me a ticket, in huntington beach. traffic school and the ticket together cost me 310 bucks
