Interesting info i found out about motor swaps in California
Im not sure how many people know this, or if im the only one who didnt haha. but either way i found it interesting.
I was talking with a state referee last night and was talking to him about a few things regarding motor swaps. now he said they are legal in California as long as you get them emissions tested at a referee station. i already knew that, but he also said that.
If the motor you're putting in was made before your car was made. then its already illegal. so if you have a 1996 SC300 lets say and you drop in a 1995 GTE motor its illegal already, even if it passes emissions. California apparently says older is bad, newer is good.
Yea not sure if i was the only one who didnt know this...but just giving everyone a heads up
