Corolla is still 1st on the list (grrr) but I'm coming up with a list of comparable cars that I'll be happy in. Yes, the new xB is a candidate that I'm coming up with Phil 
Henry, we actually didn't go to Elmore Toyota. Dad was a bit scared of hurting my sisters friends dad if we had to walk out so he said he will call during the week and speak with him. He really wants to make it quick and easy for some reason instead of arguing with any sales guy for hours on end to get a discount lol...
Main argument for no Corolla to my dad is that I'll mod the thing to death if he gets it for me. That should work quite nicely >:]

haha yeah i do my friends and i kick it with all of them @ Cyber(or LAN as they call it) on brookhurst and garfield almost every day. i've been telling them about the big lexus meet for awhile now and they decided to cruise it as well
its crazy the stuff we get away with doing in the parking lot there, it's pretty big and we've had as much as like 30-40 heads there all at once just kickin it. i'm sure we could fit alot of cars there even though there isn't much to do around there besides eat and your like 10 mins from the beach

Just call the fleet manager at multiple dealerships and ask them what is the best price they'll give you on the car is. Then go to the one that offers you the best price and when you get to the dealership you can start negotiations off of the quoted price. It is pretty easy to negotiate if you're holding a bunch of cash in front of their face.
If the Corolla is still in contention, get the Matrix. It's basically a Corolla wagon, but with a better engine if you get the XRS. AWD also helps lower your insurance significantly.
I know your family wants a Toyota and wants it new and wants it less than $20k-ish, so I would vote for xB first, then Matrix. If you spend a little more, you can even get a base Prius. That would be hot.

Haha, you should probably drive that more so you don't get keyed or in accidents
. But thanks though, I would if he was alright with buying used. Otherwise I'd pick up an IS300 like you have

Nicholas asked me and I did not respond, but if anyone was wondering why I have not been to the meets recently, I have been trying not to drive so much. My hands/fingers hurt wa wa wa lol.

I went to Santa Monica beach, Climbed to the top of that rope, maybe 30ft high?, got too tired since I am fatter than I was before (I climbed this many times before) and slid down part of the way. I thought I was really high when I slid, I should have jumped. =(
