Its gonna be a long shot, some of my friends had to get lawyers involved before they got reimbursed for the repairs.

Who cares? Let them honk, they'll get over it! I'm more worried about somebody rear-ending me when I slow down to creep over railroad tracks or stuff like that.

Sorry to hear about the damage to people's cars.

i'd leave out that your car is lowered when you bring it to city hall. they might try and use that against you.

They can honk all they want. They're not paying for my wheels or my kit.

I got my car back, it's in running order, so im content for the time being, this is what i've done so far though.

i went to city hall and i got a claim filed. i included pictures of the incident, damages, etc. i also included an estimate from Longo Lexus for the oil pan and head pipe with the catalytic converter. Also, a bill for a oil pan replacement done by T&N Auto Repair ($440) with a quote for the exhaust piece. i wrote up a summary of the incident, made sure to include my passenger as a witness.

From what the city clerk told me, it'll take a while for the claims adjusters to get back to me (30days approx) She also told me two other cars have been reported to her as of 10am monday morning.

i did not mention that i was lowered in any way shape or form, the car is practically stock in my mind =P.

if this doesnt go through, definitely i will be taking them to court.

Please, if you're in the area, drive that road of with caution, or avoid it completely.

Coming from the 10fwy i now take the Kellogg exit and get home by taking Temple. To reach the Grand/Valley intersection i either take residential streets or take Lemon down to La Puente or Valley. It's a hassle, but i really dont want another mishaps on that road while it's still gutted up for construction.
