Best USC Parking Lot?
Hey,
I transferred to USC and am not really looking forward to driving around the area LOL. Anyone know which parking lot is lowered friendly? I noticed a lot of them have multiple speedbumps going in and out.
Thanks.

and yea none of them are lowered friendly, perhaps the one thats not owned by usc on jefferson across from the fountain on hoover and jefferson, that's probably your best bet
either way, its too late to purchase parking permit now... i think the good ones are probably all sold out

none of the parking structures are lowered-car friendly. if it's not the driveways, it's the constant speed bumps in the structures.
by now, you're looking at slim pickings as far as parking permits. they started selling permits the prior semester, and they sell out pretty quickly.
you'll have to wait until they have a second run on leftover permits to pick up a parking permit for the on-campus structures.

Yeah I'm in Korea right now doing a summer program so I forgot to register for the lottery. I'm just hoping that some good ones are still left. So NONE of the USC owned parking lots are lowered friendly at all???

^ i think they have the second run during the first few weeks of classes or so. go line up very, very early to get the on-campus parking structure permits.
and yes, none of the USC parking structures are lowered-car friendly. worse, most spaces are relatively small, and some can't park worth beans, so you'll end up squeezing into a space and earn a few door dings and scratches.

lol I used to park at the meters or find street parking, but that's a battle in itself since there are so many "no parking on Tuesdays/Thursdays for street cleaning" signs everywhere
Sometimes though, if I were desperate, I'd just go into the parking structure when I didn't have a permit, wait for the parking ticket guy to drive by in his little cart, then park. By the time he made his rounds again and made it back to my car, class was over and I was home free But that only works for short term parking heh heh heh

Some of my friends would park on Exposition since that's closer to our buildings. But finding parking there is PITA and I dunno if that's still available with all the road work that was going on there...

stonefan: Can you tell me which specific parking lots you're talking about because there are multiple parking lots on both Jefferson/Fig. and Vermont.
