Default Leaking iForged wheel :(

So apparently iForged is known for their multi-piece wheels to leak out at the back bead weld. Car drove perfectly to work and when I got to the parking garage it was flat. Lovely.

iForged wants $250 to re-hoop the inner bead again but I'm just looking for any shops in southern california that would be willing to do the same job for less.

It'll probably be hard since the equipment needed to do aluminum welding is pretty sickly expensive but you know what I can try askin' around. I'm around 90015 Los Angeles, 91745 Hacienda-Walnut, 92831-Fullerton-Irvine so anywhere between there. Thanks guys.

Try Performance Wheel Repair in Walnut.

A friend has a hairline crack on his TechArt wheel and was losing air pressure slowly. They had to weld it, and price was the cheapest too.

iForged SHOULD warranty it but apparently the date stamp on the barrel is too old.

The Wheel Supply doesn't have the equipment to do the repair, thanks Javy

I'll call performance wheel repair, thanks a lot!

how does something like this happen? did it start leaking spontaneously? or did you hit something? or is it something that happens when the wheel gets old?

I saw a car last week with iForged wheels. They were cracked all over the place. I couldn't believe the tires were still inflated.
iForged has a long history of issues. They seem to have gotten better but looks like not better enough for my hard earned dough.

Yeah, obviously didn't do enough research or I'd have some Mag Blue TE37's or some Work EurolineXR's sometimes in life you make bad choices, this is one of them.

Is yours a 3piece? My 2-piece Drifts are holding up fine after a year..

They're a 2-piece design. Just had the guy at Performance Wheel Repair complete the job and will mount the tire sometime soon to see if it holds and if it continues to hold through driving conditions..

Really good guy too, so we'll see how his work holds up..
