got side swiped and want to get your thoughts ? ** UPDATED **
On labor day weekend around 1:34 AM coming home i got side swiped by a car that was going at least 85 MPH it all happened so fast i had no time to re-act they tried to take off so i speed up and got close enough to make out the plate so i called in the report it CHP well they weren't pulling over so i speed up got in front of them and forced them to pull over well appears this lady was either drunk or super tired as she tells me she didn't even see me and she thought she hit a "rock" LOL i was like okay cops show up and of course dont do any kind of test and just let her go. Luckly i got a call on friday that she admitted fault.
now my question is since i have to replace my side mirror do you think based off the photo's below do you think since Lexus will be doing the estimate that it will be high enough that i can have lexus fix everything but the side mirror and then pick up some LED mirror's from nigel ? let me know your thoughts....
*** Update well i just got back from getting the estimate from the shop the ladies insurance wanted me to go to and well they said they have to repaint the whole left side of the car which i am not happy about now i need 2nd shop to estimate any other sugguestions ? So far Platinum VIP has been recommend let me know ***

doesn't look too bad. if is not deep scratche you can probably buff it out. Since she will be paying for the damage bring to a reputable shop and get estimate.
Gold Crest auto body would be 1 of my pick, or bring to lexus dealership see how much.

doesn't matter what lexus estimates it at the insurance company will be providing the money for the repairs and its their agent that will provide the estimate... they will only provide enough cash for the repairs and the replacement of the broken mirror at whatever place you want to have the work done... remember you have the option of choice

you could get a check from them once they appraise the damages, which would allow you to get the work done wherever you wish and buy parts from whoever you want.
remember, they apprise based on msrp list prices, whereas we, here, get discounts from dealerships. body shops will also be charging you list price on parts.

i just had this happen to me but it was a truck and they f****d my wheel up. it wasnt much to fix and the driver admitted fault and insurance covered 100%. go to a body shop and ask the body shop to give you an estimate on the differance cost on the side mirrors. mine turned out perfect but they had to sprayed my fender. because his tired burned the paint down to metal. but your doesnt look that bad. goodluck with everything and im happy your ok. here's what happened to mine.https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...wn-valley.html

Spoke to Freddie at Autofashion yesterday going to take it to him on Friday and see what he can do.....Can't wait i just want my ride fixed already its just sitting in my garage hahaha i feel like a kid that got a new toy but can't pull it out of the box hahah
