As luck would have it, I nailed a pothole or similar and put a 1" crack on the inner lip. Going to send these off to Performance Wheel this time for a proper repair and get some slightly taller tires with a Xl load rating which I should be running anyhow.

You know, I swear I took one of my RL wheels there and they sent it out to be repaired. This was a couple of months ago.
Not sure where they sent it out to. When I received it the repair was ok, just a little bit of a bulge on the lip which I had to sand and buff out.

Well, I paid $18.00 UPS ground to ship the wheel to them. They charged me $30+ to ship it back in my box via UPS ground.
I will post pics of the actual wheel, you will be disgusted with their repair.
Typical of the automotive industry, it is difficult to find flawless execution and exceed the customers expectations.

Wow this is scary. It seems that no wheel repair place can fix rims properly. I'm thinking about taking my wheels to The wheel supply (TWS) in walnut. They seem to have the least negative reviews.
Pearl lets see those pics when you have time.

The problem with the TWS and other tire shops is that they outsource their wheel repairs. I believe theres only a few major places so wherever you go that doesn't have an in shop facility is most likely being sent to the same wheel repair facillity.
The Wheel Repair Specialist mentioned in this thread are pretty good. I took four wheels in to get repainted, re polished lips, remove curb rash on all four lips, and re-true all of them for $700 out the door. Told them three days, and I got it in three days.

Wow, pearl, thats is ugly man. I'd get my money back and let them know that it doesn't hold air.
I've been to magmasters in Santa Ana. My experience was 1/2 and 1/2. I brought them some HRE's to get refinished and polished, did a REALLY good job.
A year later, brought them some Kinesis wheels to get refinished and polished. Did another really good job on the finishing. BUT...When i mounted them and drove the car for 2 days, one of the rear rims leaked all the air. Turns out, they forgot to I guess tighten all the bolts on the rivets and 1/2 of the bolts sheared right off. Took it back to them and they fixed it within 2 days.
I'll probably try Wheel repair specialists next door to them or Speedway. I've brought stuff to be repolished at Speedway and they do an amazing job polishing.
