Heads up Irvine members..speed traps...
Saw this on another forum I frequent on with several members agreeing...Just a heads up to the 714'/949ers here.
Speed Trap#1
Tustin/ Irvine Border

Irvine/ Tustin 261 Toll Freeway
This anus is hiding in between the columns on the 261 right before the toll plaza.

Speed trap #2!!! That "anus" caught me like two years ago (I hated that entrance for awhile) - You could try to argue that the speed limit says 65 right at that entrance but then they'll counter by saying that it was a 55 zone before. Just FYI.

Good looking out! Irvine and Tustin PD can be really petty. Now that CA is broke, I'm sure there will be a lot more tickets being written. I just got one in July for 80 in the carpool lane (had passengers) on the 5S near Laguna Hills.

anyone who drives around garden grove be careful too. cops been doing random check points at night. also in the mornings to noon, there will be random fleets of cops just pulling over anyone and everyone for no reason. usually around garden grove and haster by the hospital.

What a bummer...I live at Redhill and Edinger and work at Jamboree and Walnut. I got pulled over a couple days ago for tinted tailights, no front license plate, and tinted windows and managed to talk my way out of it (1st time every). Irvine police just don't have anything better to do.

thanks for this post man. i'm going to go slower around irvine now.
I almost got pulled over by a cop on my way to work, off sandcanyon and the 405, not to long ago, luckily he changed his mind. i was in the left hand turn lane and it was green for traffic going straight. he stopped completely in the lane to my right(straight traffic) right next to my car and looked at me. then kept going. I was in a rush to get to work that morning and was a bit heavyon the throttle.
Occassionally if your going south on the 405 and exit sand canyon, make a left. i do see this same motorcycle cop who pulls someone over. this is around 7 oclock in the morning
