Default san diego area tire shops installing stretchies

hey whats goin fellas,

i just picked up some rims and im looking to mount some 225/40s on a 18x10 rim.

i was wonderin if you fellow san diegans know or recommend any local tire shops that are willing to stretch tires with no questions asked and that doesn't charge too much?

ummm....here in San diego not sure if they mount tire but you can try Autofashion there is another shop but can't think of the name..

autofashion doesn't have a tire machine. but they'll recommend you to Bear's

I dont get what the deal with stretching is...? I dont do crazy stretches...but iv done 215/35/19 on 19x8.5 and 225/35/19 19x9.5 and iv never had trouble. Iv gone to shops all over!

cooool tyy! ive jus heard stories that many shops wont allow tire stretching just because they dont want to be held liable if something does happen.

try doing 225/35/19 on a 19x10...
not all shops will do it and not all will do it without scratching your wheels...
thats why I only go to one shop, cuz if the mount machine wont work, they know how to use a cheetah to mount the tire.

Bear's would do it. They'll have to see the condition of the rim and how skinny the tires are before they'd do it. They're walking distance to my work and the know me very well due to the volume of tires that I buy from them and the customers that I refer to them. Very good guys. They installed my 205 60's on my 15x10 Panasports but that's not really stretched.

haha ok. i thought you were down here.

i wouldn't even try with the chain tire shops. most of the moms/pops tire places here do stretch with the tire cheetah.

brought my 235 on 19.5 and the shop refused to do it due to safety reason, what a lame.

Doubt it. Bears is down for stretching. They'll turn you away if your wheels or tires aren't safe. Bears is the go-to spot for tires in SD
