Default Picture spots?

Sup SoCal,

I'm off today so I thought I'd go exploring with my new T1i. Where are some good spots?

Because its getting a little late in the day ( and I still haven't washed the car haha) I'd like to keep it somewhere between San Gabriel and West Covina ( so I don't hit traffic coming home.

I know there are photo*****s on here! Post your spots!

What types of shots are you looking for? Scenic nature spots? Places to do car photoshoots? People watching?

I was looking for spots to do a car shoot, with commercial buildings.

I found a couple with an awesome story.

So I'm driving around in El Monte on Lower Azusa (next to the public storage) there are a few commercial bldgs that are fairly new. I drive into the back and it was perfect! Loading dock area, it was empty with no distractions and turn around to the other side and what do I see? There was a Ferrari and Lambo doing photo shoot too!
Before you ask if I got to sneek a few pics in, the answer is no... I was on the other side of the gate. Then some dude walks towards me (this is private parking area) and I just pretend I'm lost and drive off haha.

I then proceeded to drive around Rivergrade Rd (passed by Platinum VIP, nice shop guys!) and found an empty spot there.

BTW I posted this here instead of the photography forum b/c I was specifically looking for SoCal spots, but if Mods thinks it belongs over there, pls move it.

Places for pics: Mulholland Highway on a clear day. Also, Graystone Park in Beverly Hills, Balboa Lake in Encino, Pepperdine University, NoHo Village in North Hollywood, Marina del Rey docks, Balboa Island (for the O.C. residents), Valencia Business Park - all these offer terrific backdrops for photography.

anyone with suggestions for the OC area? theres this one cool spot i found right next to south coast plaza. it's off of anton and bristol. get into the middle of that little area and park and walk around and explore. some orchestra building is in this area and it has some cool architecture surrounding it. ive gotten some cool shots and some good memories with friends over here. last time i was there which was during the holidays there was a security guard there but all the time before it was easy squeezy lemon peezy
