Wow, that's scary... Why would anyone pay $475 for Huper Optik from non-authorized installer? No warranty from the manufacturer... and how do you know if it was actually Huper Optik that he used on your car?

My car will be coming in pretty soon so I need to get some things lined up. I want to get these items right away so that I can enjoy driving the car without worrying much once I get it.

I need the following:
1. Clear Bra (how much???)
2. Tint (how much???)

Please let me know in SoCal where all of you have gotten your stuff done and also how much? I figured whoever I go to should be able to do both things together. The Clear Bra is going to be pre-cut pieces right? Right now I'm thinking about getting the usual hood, fenders, bumper, mirrors, and headlights. I don't need anymore do I?

As for the tint, I'm thinking 35% all around.

Please let me know all of your experiences, good and bad, so that I'll know what to expect.

Sorry forgot to ask one more quick question. I'm getting the X-Package so how does that affect the pre-cut Clear Bra with the lip spoiler? Does the installer just have to cut around it?

Tint? I don't know. Got mine at the dealership for free.

Clear bra? I know only one place, and I don't need...no...want another place.

I ended up getting Huper 40 installed all around and on the sunroof by an authroized dealer in Huntington Beach. So far I'm really happy with it. Great heat resistance, especially with my black interior. They had some 3m film that was really light and super heat resistant that some people are putting on the windshield. I was tempted, but didn't go for it.

 

The Tint Pro's in HB. They did my Corvette and I'm thinking of having them do my exotic (less of a decision on their skill, more of on whether or not i actually want it tinted). Something like 400 +/- for my vette, but the rear window is retarded and there was a section that had to be specially done too. Pricey, but good people. They do buildings too.
Was going to have them do my sister's honda, but she didnt come up with the cash. Something like 2-300?

 

what ever you do dont go to MR. Tint in Temecula. Thoes jackles put 2 dents in my rear quarter panell and then tried to say they were there when I brought it in....2 days old....wright...

Take the short drive up to LA and see Hann Kim at STM. Over the years I've had several cars done. Hann is by far the best I have ever seen.
