I will vouch for California Tint. The reason why dyed tint is used over metallic films is because of the embedded antennas in our rear window. California Tint offers a lifetime warranty on the worksmanship and film. I've had other vehicles done here in the past and the tint has never faded, peeled or most importantly bubble. Johnson's Greystone film is the preferred film of choice. This is what I have on my 2009 IS F. ![Thumb Up](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Go on Yelp.com and look up CA Tint. It speaks for itself.

Depends if you want top of the line ceramic tint or just regular tint. If you want regular dye tint, like everyone says, go to Calif Tint - it'll run apprx $150. If you want ceramic, like Henry said, go to Song's Tint Masters & get Huper Optik - it'll run apprx $600. I've done both, and I like ceramic the best.

If you want the good stuff, DON'T do it at California Tint.
Their tinting technique is pretty mediocre, and if you go with metallic or ceramic tint, you will get ugly results.
Their technique is ok for regular Johnson's dyed tint though.
and that's why their price is a little cheaper than the rest. Total dyed tint job will cost you $130 about.
California tint doesn't carry 3M or madico as a rule. 99% of their stuff is Johnson's.

As I posted earlier, what is your budget - do you want to spend $150 or $600 on tint ? Ceramic will block more heat & ultraviolet rays than regular tint, but you pay for it. If you want super dark, than go w/regular tint as ceramic only goes up to 35%. Also ceramic has more of a bronze hue. Keep in mind that even tho you have a black exterior, your tint will look lighter due to the cashmere interior - so 35% will look lighter on your car than 35% on a car w/a dark interior. Good luck.
