Tint Service Recommendation
Hey guys. Looking to get my car tinted at California Tint.
I'm honestly not sure what to look for(i.e. types of tint/color they have).
I do know, that i'd like a very subtle tint(I dislike dark-limo tints) to create a luxurious look on my car.
Any ideas or recommendations? I'm currently on board with 45% tint, maybe 35% All around.
Can someone shed some light on colored tint?

Most of their tint material will fall into a dark black/charcoal range.
I went there to have my car tinted. Peter does a fantastic job.
I would suggest around a 45% all the way around, including front windows. 35% appears more than subtle in the eyes of cops, and they'll most likely ticket you for that- among other things if they choose to snoop.
Hope this helps!

Alvin O's in Kearny Mesa. He services the nearby dealerships and can be pricey.

I also recommend ACME Window Tinting. Quality work, reasonable pricing, less than Alvin O's.

I recommend Pro Tint @ Temple City. They installed 3M clear bra on my brand new IS250 2012 2 years ago. The clear bra protected my front bumper flawlessly for 2 years now. No bubble, no crack and no fading on the film either.

X-Treme Tint in Whittier has won my business from now on. I used to go to another large competitor and though they did a good job, the guys scratched my truck the 1st time. 2nd time, they left a pool of water on the dash and despite bringing in 5 cars total and having my truck redone 3 times, I was never given a discount.
I went to X-Treme tint after my brother kept recommending them. And man, was he right, These guys are FAST, professional, reasonable and did an excellent job. They do more than tint, which most places do as well. Some of the things include: Audio, tinted tail lights (Painted or vinyl), roof wraps and full vehicle wraps. I'd definitely use them if you're in the Whittier area.

i did the llumar 15% on all side and rear windows. turned out great. one minor gripe is they had some overspray of the water solution on my windshield and did not clean it up - other then that looks good and is drying well. took my buddies car at the same time too (we have the same car.)

I had Mike's Tint Shop in Corona, CA (they also have a location in the city of Orange) do my GS 350 F-Sport a few weeks ago.
What I had done:
-Llumar CTX 5% on all rear windows
-Llumar CTX 15% on front windows
-3M Crystalline on the windshield
-Oracal 8300 Medium Grey on the headlights, tail lights and rear reflectors
I've just noticed 2 air bubbles on one of the rear windows and a few small bubbles on the headlights. I called them to let them know and they told me to bring it by on Sat morning so they can make it perfect.
They did an especially good job on the tail lights. A few places that I looked into told me that the lights were a huge PITA to wrap and they would have to spray them. I didn't want to have to buy new lights in the case of a fix-it ticket, so that was out of the question. Mike's Tint Shop took on the challenge and they did a fantastic job.
Their normal price for a 4-door sedan, done in their standard Llumar tint, is $199. Currently, there is a deal through Groupon that will let you get this done for $99. Plus, even if you upgrade in tint, the Groupon will still save you $100, so it was definitely worth getting. The Groupon link is below:
