It's all good, my parents will pay off the Smog Referee or buy me another one. Thumbs up for being a rich Asian!
Did a lot of quick judging there based on the photo big boy. I don't understand how the photo makes me look rich, my clothes are obviously not stylish or expensive and my haircut is definitely not the demeanor of a Asian with a thick wallet.
The cop was real cool about everything, so i asked if it was ok if i took a photo with him looking under the hood. Yes we did get a Ref ticket, but it could've gone a lot worse. On the ticket he wrote "shiny piping" which i thought was funny. Didn't mention anything about FMIC or blow off valve.

You're suppose to tell him you just bought the car and had no idea the mods were illegal.

Luckily, most of them wouldn't be able to point to a turbo if it smacked them upside the head. Maybe you can swap back to a KA, install a "shiny" intake and get away from any heavy fines.

not the case anymore ryan. cops actually go to classes to point out illegal mods. i have met a few cops a few years ago that new alot, like engine codes (b16/18, sr/ka) intake, headers, turbo....it is hard to get things by the po po now-a-days. it is just not worth it anymore. i misss the good old days (late 90's) when you could get away with anything but moving violations.

lol! I thought we're supposed to put labels on the photo. It was a joke, forgot the laughing face Been there before bro I got ref'd.

Yeah true that! I met a few guys in past years who were really into the import scene. Now they're cops and still drive modded cars off duty lol.
