600$ for Long Beach :(
So i got pulled over about 3 weeks ago in long beach, on the freeway, going 60 mph.. for modified exhaust...yeah i know it sucks.
The cop told me and my buddy it was a "easy fix it ticket" so i thought it wasnt that big of deal. 3 weeks later i get a letter in the mail saying i have to pay a 600$ fine, it came from the Superior Court or something, and it was from long beach. It says on the letter that i could fight it and plead not guilty..
Could this be a mistake? Anyone ever got fined for modified exhaust?
Also i didnt mention about 6-7 months ago i got a modified exhaust fix it ticket here in Walnut, put the stock back on, took it to the CHP, got it signed.. put my LMS exhaust back on..
hopefully that doesnt make a difference..

It should be a fix it ticket it. Just take it to a CHP station show the yellow certificate the officer handed over to you, the CHP should come out look sign it off (for free I think) then take it to the LB courthouse (clerk's window) pay 10 bucks and done.
That's if the officer said its a fix it ticket and he checked it as correctable. Then the mail you can disregard the fine. I got popped on my bike not having proof of insurance (it was in my tool bag at home) and he wrote me no proof of insurance and told me its correctable. 3 weeks mail came in saying the fine is $455 but Im not worried because its a fixable ticket. Still would be a waste of 10 bucks because that can fill up my bike's tank LOL.

The fine amount is correct. I got the same ticket for the same amount. If it's a correctable ticket, then you can fix it and bring to an officer and sign it off. You need the stamp on the ticket from the PD. Bring the stamped and signed ticket to clerk and closed the citation.

When did they make it a fine? Jebus, makes me want to remove my exhaust now.

He wrote something about alt smog 27156 and checked no for correctable violation... Just saw a sticker on the back ticket that says I have to take it to the state referee. No officer can sign off..
