damn cali sucks!! lol. but yea you can still get a ticket for no front plate. even if you have a (LEXUS) plate in front..even if you say it came from the dealer like that.. they will still give you a ticket..

1) yeah it's not legal if not mounted in the front bumper
2) it looks tacky
3) can be dangerous when it comes flying at you in an accident.

I got a fix it ticket for no front plate and the cop was going to give me a ticket for my stock tint as well. Can you believe that, that was bs.. But I notice, it's usually the Motorcyle cops that pull lil bs over. BUt i just paid 25 for the fix it which used to be 15 =[

Yeah, I got pulled over for my tint a few months back (30% all around). Was driving through la traffic going like 15 miles/hr. Pulled me over, comes to the window to tell me he's pulling me over for my tint, then walks to the front to make sure I have my front plate.... looks like they're trying to make up for the budget deficit with tickets

ALSO if he didn't see that you don't have a front plate on the bumper he now KNOWS you don't.

ok.... here is a tip get the good stuff on your rear windows and get the cheap stuff on the front. In California its never going to have time to fade before you get a ticket.

If he wants to look under your hood try this one out... "I don't consent to any searches"

I dont know why people leave it off. Because the car looks ugly with it on? Its a small piece compared to your whole car. Which most people wont even care to look at. How many times do you go to car meets and shows and people tell you. "Hey man you forgot to take your front plate off your car is ugly"

Zero..... Mine always stays on with a nice LEXUS frame.

Is it worth the tickets and cop trouble because you want to leave your little plate off cuz its blocks your pretty bumper?

Someone explain to me =(
