2 out of 2 times I had it signed off, they didn't check the vin. In fact, my 2nd time it was a different complete license plate # than the one on the citation!

(I got a ticket for no front plate on the day I bought the car, I had to get a new plate since I don't have the front plate)

Don't blame this post if you get arrested though.
