Looking for a good mechanic in OC
Does anyone know a good mechanic that specialize or has worked on 2jz's in orange county? I took my 00 GS3 to my mechanic to change my timing belt, water pump n seals n he said my intake cam was stuck n he was afraid of taking it off cuz he might break the camshaft.

I used to go to Dynamic and Son is a great mechanic, but I've been going to Vinam down the street lately. Shop is kinda ghetto, but they also do great work and they're usually significantly cheaper.

Ghetto is the right word, but Tho is very good with Toyota/Lexus in general. Then again he's been a master tech for Toyota for who knows how long.
If you need to have a supercharger installed, he's not the right guy, but if you need the engine rebuilt to OEM spec with OEM parts, I'll only trust him.

+1 for Son. I've heard a lot about his work but have not yet taking my car to him for some work. I usually do all the services I can before going to someone else.
