Default Post Office and Lost Packages?

So, I bought a item from a club lexus member and he gave me the USPS tracking number, but the package never showed up at my house. I checked the tracking and it says my item was delivered today @ 12:04am. =/ Its no where to be found. I called the Post Office but they told me they delivered it already and that I would need to have the sender run a trace on it.

Chances of my package getting stolen? Maybe he left it on the front door and someone took it? What can I do if that happened?.. I never had a problem with this, I always got my packages from USPS perfectly fine until today.

Was $200 bucks worth of stuff in that box.

Asked your neighbors? I got a package that was sent to my neighbor across from me once or twice in the past... But yeah, all they can do is trace it. Its out of the sender's hands since he gave you the tracking and everything. It'll be between you and the post office to trace it.... Good luck

1) he should have gotten signature confirmation for something 200+
2) insurance could have been bought for lost or stolen packages.
3) Did he give you a tracking number or a confirmation number? A tracking number will provide all the detail and exact location of the package A confirmation number just state that the mailman drop off the package and just list the city.

ive had this happen once, and it ended up that my neighbor whom i trust signed for it. id ask around first, and then go from there. but whats odd to me is that it was delivered at 12:04 AM. the post office officially closes at 5-6 i think, so maybe it was tracked near your post office at that time, which means you should be getting it the next day. hopefully it turns up!

Damn Johnny. That sucks man Was the box you were expecting big or small? It could have been mailed to wrong place by mailman to your neighbors. If that was the case then they would return it to you..

dont know why you'd ship something worth >$30-50 w/o sig confirmation when its only like $1.40 or something.

hopefully you meant 12something PM (afternoon) because if it was delivered at midnight then i would tell the USPS that someone in a warehouse jacked it...

Sorry my bad 12:04pm not am. But it was a confirmation just shows when it was delievered and what city. The seller didnt buy a signature request, or anything else and I PM'd him to help but no reply (he might think im trying to pull one on him) =/. Ill try my neighbors and post office today and see whats up -_-

I live in a low crime neighborhood also arcadia/templecity border line. I normally get all my mail perfectly fine and packages are left outside and never taken. I guess anything can happen.

I talked to the post office again, They told me they talked to the driver and he said that he dropped it off at my front door. They told me since the package did not request for a signature and there was no insurance that they cant do anything about it.

Guess im ***'d...

that's exactly what happened to me...but for me the seller was nice enough to help offset the lost
