Default Looking for shop in LA/SFV/Simi area

Well, the wifes RX needs some service. It has 100,000 miles on it, so it needs the water pump and timing belt done, LCA bushings, pads, all the fluids flushed and changed, and silly minor things. Dealer is astronomical, of course. I have someone I go to with my IS-F, but he refuses to install anything not OEM, so with my F, he wanted 1300 for my front brakes, I did them for less than 400. While that might, and I stress might be important for the F, it certainly is not for the wifes RX. Can anyone recomend someone?

In the city, or the county? Can you post the name, or do you want to PM me?

If your looking for a mechanic in Simi Valley, check out Dave's Motorworks over on Easy Street.

Dave is my wifes nephew.

Tell him that Chris referred you.

His info can be found here: www.davesmotorworks.com

And he is toyota certified.

Amazing. Wife works on Easy Street, not too far from there. I will definitely give them a call. Thanks.

I checked out his website, not much on there. Do you know what services he offers? I been having issues with a CEL and its due for smog next month and it's 150,000 mile service. I need my brakes flushed and my fuel system flushed and fuel filter replaced, along with the CEL issue. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you.

Default Several shops in Simi

I have used the following with good results.

Ken's at Tapo St and Cochran, S/W corner, diagnosed my SC before I bought it amd brought it up to snuff. Very busy.

Japan Car Care behind Express lube on First St. for my MR2 motor replacement.

BJ Automotive, Brad, behind MacDonalds on LA ave, did all my work on my GMC diesel. I recently learned that he knows Lexus automobiles. If the ls430 I'm watching becomes available, I'll take it to him for an inspection.

Yeah, his website sucks ***. And its dated.

Its a full service shop. Diagnostics and repair. He has been in business a good number of years so he has alot of connections as well for Smog, exhaust, transmission, engine rebuild etc . . .

He works on all foreign and domestics, and specializes in offroad and motorcycles due to his own hobbies and interests.

Dont be afraid to give him a call Monday to talk it over with him.
