Who has Sprint and how do you like it?
So my plan with Verizon is up in a month or so and I'm exploring my options. Does anyone have Sprint and how has the reception been? Do you get dropped calls? Is it frequent? Main reasons for looking elsewhere is that Verizon is starting to get pricey and Sprint has some really good deals. But if I have to sacrifice reception/call quality it won't be worth it.
Thanks!
Thanks!

If you take your Sprint phone up to Ventura, SB and a bit north... well Let's say they are newish to this area. If you are in LA area you should be good. Don't forget you can port your number over to any carrier (sometimes with a fee) but don't do it until after you verify you like the new carrier's service.

I was buying some batteries at radioshack the other day and the salesman saw that I had a verizon phone. He told me that i would get the same service from verizon using sprint, because they share the same satellites. Now I dont know if he was lying to me, but if thats true then the service should be the same for a cheaper price. I'm gonna wait until Jan, to see if the Iphone is actually coming out. If it doesnt im just gonna switch to at&t.

I'll primarily be in the Orange County/LA area, but work sends me to some odd places sometimes. Sprint does allow you to roam on Verizon's network without a fee, but it eats into your minutes if you aren't calling at night. Data is severely limited when outside the Sprint network too. Thanks for the responses!

I had AT&T and now Verizon for the coverage reasons. They both are more expensive then Sprint/T-mobile but I rather pay a bit more and have a good service. AT&T and Verizon tend to trade off. Where my Verizon phone doesn't my friends AT&T phone works and where his phone doesn't work mine does. If you mind trying out a prepaid phone I would say try the StraightTalk (Walmart sell it)
good review http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r228...-Phone-Verizon
and at $45 a month for unlimited everything... it's a killer deal.

I have had Sprint for over 4 years and my sister 13 years. It's all hit or miss with all the cell providers IMO, but in LA/OC Sprint works fine for me. Plus you'll have 4G in some spots. I have an Evo and 4Mbps down/2 Mbps up does not suck.
If you want to just check out Sprint coverage you could cop a Virgin mobile phone (same network, no contract)
