Ticket for DRL'S, waaaccckkk
So an officer gave me a ticket for having yellow DRLS, unbelievable, he only pulled me over because he recognized me before from a previous ticket he gave me 2 months earlier for speeding.
Anyone get a DRL ticket before?
Basically have to change it back to stock bulb and get it signed off right?
I was thinking of going and showing them my headlights with the lo beams on, instead of DRLS, hopefully they might fall for it, the ticket only said yellow headlights, didnt specify if it was the Day light running lights or anything.. so well see. my Lo beams are light blue, officer told me i needed WHITE Lights... but im sure light blue will pass, look sort of stockish.

yeah Officer obviously didn't know what he was talking about.

How would i go about fighting this? what do i say? lol..
But yeah i remember the old Lexus use to come with stock yellow lights haha, i think acura too not sure. But a cop can you write you a ticket for almost whatever they want, whether your breaking the law or not, you still have to show up to court though, thats the worst part, especially if you didn't do nothing wrong in the first place..
but this cop is a scum, second he pulled me over he asked me for my info, and before i could get him my insurance or registration, he decided to have me pulled out of the car and searched and put in the back seat. Then he just said, hmm i remember you, didnt i pull you over before? and all this BS, then he came back and started writing me a ticket for the headlights, and no front plate.

twice by the same cop...thats just bad luck man! yeah, the no front plate prompted him to start sniffing around your car. but even the DRL's have a slight amber color to them, so i really dont know what the cop wanted aside from padding his quota for the month. if it's a fix it ticket, just show the changes made (maybe double sided tape for the front bumper with shaved screws so it resembles being fixed on the car- great idea from a member in another socal thread), have it signed off, pay the smaller fee, and move on. hopefully it gets resolved soon!

It was funny, because for a good 5 minutes he was sitting in the car with me in the back, and i could see him looking through his little manual looking for the CVC code for the Yellow Headlights ticket, it was probably his first time doing it!!!
Also i would like to add this cop decided to take it to another level..
My 2IS is under my Mothers name,
So he started with this BS like " HOW DO I KNOW YOU DIDN'T TAKE THIS CAR WITHOUT PERMISSION???? NOW I HAVE TO GET A HOLD OF YOUR MOTHER TO MAKE SURE SHE GAVE YOU PERMISSION. ...
So this dirtbag sends 2 units to my house to check if my mother is there ,
and i told him she wouldn't be home till later tonight, so he kept me in the back seat for another 30 minutes, until finally he let me give him my moms phone number, after confirming, he let me go...
i swear... VALLEY BLVD is a COP ZONE!!!
i can't even go to staples to buy an SD card without being harassed on the way back!
