If you are on the 1/8 mile drag list. You will gain entrance early to line up at a tech line. We will ask you and check you off our list of 1/8 drag participants as you roll in. We allow people who are on the 1/8 drag list to enter early so they can get a head start on tech inspection of their car.
#10. We have consulted with CHP and Irwindale local law enforcement, and they are aware of this event. When arriving/departing, please obey rules of the road. CHP will be on the lookout for displays of excessive speed on the convoys and streets around the race track.

I think this was done just out of courtesy for the cops, so they just have a heads up instead of wondering why the hell are there 400+ cars at Irwindale today.
But regardless, everyone drive safe and don't give them a reason to write you up!

In planning huge events like this, it's best to work WITH law enforcement instead of trying to "sneak" around them. We've done it this way for years, and your advice is spot on - don't do anything stupid and you won't have any problems.
Police won't be "at" or "patrolling" the event, but it's a good idea for those caravaning to have their license plates on for the trips there and back.
I never got an answer to my question, So I guess that means I can just show up, say my real name, CL Screen name, confirmation number and voila! I'm in? When I get to the gates, I better go to a person that knows me from previous meets just to play it on the safe side.
