Exclamation The Pursuit 2: FAQ & Ground Rules

PLEASE READ THESE GROUND RULES FOR THIS SUNDAY'S EVENT:
  1. The gates will open at 9:45 am, and there is absolutely no incentive to get there before then - there's no "first 100" giveaways, no early-bird specials, no nothing. All you'll be doing by getting there early is wasting your own time and giving Irwindale PD extra time to look for reasons to give you a ticket.
  2. 1/8 mile drag participants are encouraged to arrive at 9:30 am. We will separate you immediately and park you in the tech check area. Tech check will start at 10:00 am. The drag strip will start at 11:00 am sharp.
  3. People who attended The Prologue event in August and have their BLUE Prologue wristband will be allowed to enter early. No wristband no early entrance. No exceptions.
  4. PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED. PERIOD.
  5. Entrance is from Live Oak Ave.
  6. Raffle tickets will be given to registrants who drive their Lexus vehicles to the meet. No Lexus = No raffle ticket.
  7. If you plan on drag racing your vehicle, please read and familiarize yourself with the Toyota Speedway Drag Rules. All racers will be subject to these rules, and must pass tech inspection in order to be eligible to race. http://www.toyotaspeedwayatirwindale.com/dragstrip/site/street_rules.html
  8. Sales of ANY KIND are prohibited on the racetrack grounds. Anyone caught conducting business of any kind will be immediately asked to leave by race track security.
  9. While in the display/parking area, speeding, revving, and burnouts are STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Anyone caught doing this will be immediately asked to leave by race track security.
  10. We have consulted with CHP and Irwindale local law enforcement, and they are aware of this event. When arriving/departing, please obey rules of the road. CHP will be on the lookout for displays of excessive speed on the convoys and streets around the race track.
  11. Registration does not guarantee you a t-shirt. There is a limited supply of shirts, and only Club Lexus, my.is, and LexusF members are eligible to receive t-shirts. Once we run out, that's it.

The Pursuit 2 - FAQ:

Q: Is this a car show?
A: NO, this is a Lexus owners & enthusiasts MEET!

Q: Do I have to pay for this event?
A: NO, this event is absolutely FREE!

Q: What if my car is bone stock?
A: This is a Lexus MEET. Stock or modified, it doesn't matter. All Lexus cars will be parked together.

Q: Can I bring guests?
A: YES! Simply add the number of guests you’re bringing to gain admission to the event. Registered Lexus owners who drive their cars to the event are eligible to receive t-shirts (while supplies last), guests are not.

Q: Can a non Lexus owner come to the event?
A: Absolutely! However they will not be able to park in the designated Lexus parking areas, participate in the 1/8 mile drag run or register for the raffles.

Q: Can I bring a pet?
A: NO. Toyota Speedway strictly prohibits any pets and animals on the property unless as an aid for disabled guests.

Q: Where I can I find a staff member during the meet?
A: You will find them wearing BLUE ‘Pursuit 2’ t-shirts.

Q: Can I convoy to the meet?
A: Yes you can - here's a list of groups coming from various areas of California:

Long Beach/Cerritos/562 convoy
818/310 convoy
714/949 convoy
858/619/760 convoy
909 convoy
626 convoy

See you Sunday!

Hello, I was wondering, I'm registered but there's a good chance my car may be in one of the vendor booths because of the work that was recently done to it. Do I need to notify anyone that I am coming in a different car and park elsewhere?

^^^ Jsut tell the person at the gate that your car is being used for
one of the booths. If you come in a different car just park in the
non-lexus area. Honestly, it's not very far.

Looking forward to this

Will there be a separate "marked" line for the blue wristband people? Like if there is then it would be nice to know if its on the left/right/middle/etc side of the entrance prior to everyone getting there so we know which place to split to and all

How do I prove that I am who I say I am and that I'm registered for the event, When I arrive at the gates?

I'm sorry, but I'm confused. What do you mean by this:
Simply add the number of guests you’re bringing to gain admission to the event.
I thought all we needed to do was to register ourselves.

I have a few questions

1. You guys will not be providing food correct? If so how will we get food and how much should we bring?
2. Like eyezack mention, if we have the blue wrist band which line do we go to?
3. Is it just going to be random parking like whoever is behind is parking next to you? Or will the IS go with the IS's and the SC's go with the SC?

A:1. Unfortunately, we will no be providing free food this year.
There will be a few vendors there to sell food. I suggest you bring some
money if you do decide to buy food from vendors.

A:2. If you have the blue Prologue wrist band you will be directed where
to park.

A:3. This year parking will not be by model - you park in the order in which you arrive.
