IMO, i think the cop just looking out for his people(american),
i would have given the driver a tix for being a smartbutt...

speaking of cities needing funs, that's very true.

i got 2 tickets at the same times for parking too far away from curb, and no front plate.

legally they can't issue ticket for no front plate if the vehicle is unoccupied or parked.

Truth.

Are front plates that bad that most people need to take it off? Putting it on the dash makes the car look tacky. I use to want to take off my front plate (even did for 2 weeks) but I put it back because I know it's not worth the hassle/ticket/time for a measly plate.

it doesnt surprise me that cops are handing out more tickets. it bugs me when they're going after cars parked on the street--it's like there are no criminals out there in the field to catch or something. i too have been ticketed for no front plate. i don't think it's bad to have it on. i just prefer not to have it on, though it is against the law. but when cops are handing out tickets for ***** nilly bs things, it won't surprise me if people begin to find creative ways to stay within the laws but still keep their rides to their liking. for instance, one member posted up his setup of a motorized hide away plate that comes out from the top part of his lower grille. there's one g35 (i think) around the 909 that hides the surrounding white parts of the front license plate near one of the fog lights, so all you see are the actual numbers and letters, which i thought was pretty cool. it makes it harder to see it, as the plate is being overshadowed by the bumper itself, but according to the law, it is visible.

Last night I was going home & guess what I saw?
cops giving more tickets on my street.
I pulled in to my drive way, closed the gate & the cops goes like
"hey! you! come here!" & I quote my words!
"WT* do you want!"
He told me "your lucky your parked in a locked gate or I could cite you for tints & curtains" I got his car # & last name & called LAPD today.
If he ever give's me a ticket for tints or curtains while parked outside my gate they will dismiss the case(from what they said)...but if another cops gives it

Anyways I'm sick of these B$ "Parking Violations"
Wish there was something we could do

I got a 65 dollar street-cleaning parking ticket a few days ago.

I wouldn't be as mad if I knew the money was actually getting used to fix the streets and gutters...

Thx for the heads up man !!

Same cop guy doing this over and over again, I think you should take a pic of him and send it to his Chief officer or his corporal. And write an email... not like he's doing anything bad, just put "this is what he had trained to do.... write fixin tickets everyday!!"... How about protecting our community or patrollin and catching bad guys !!??!!

Just to embarrass him !!! hehehehe...

They say "to protect & serve" but they really mean, "to cite all night"

I guess if you get a ticket, make sure the code section matches with the reason for being cited. If not, you can sue them
