I just had my valve springs recall done and called to schedule with Richard, that's when I found out he was no longer at Westminster Lexus. The service just wasn't as pleasant anymore. Supposedly he went to a Mercedes dealership, not sure if it's true. That's what I heard from another service advisor.

Since Richard is no longer there, that's who I scheduled with to do the valve springs recall, but when I got there the scheduled day, he was not there. Another advisor helped me. Why would he schedule me on a day he wasn't going to be there. I'll give Charlie another try next time before making any judgment.

I find it hilarious when people believe that the service advisor is going to make the job better, all he's doing is selling you a service not magically making it happen better. Each service advisor is assigned to a particular tech, it's not a first come first serve basis with the cars going into the garage. My suggestion is forget about the service advisor find out who had the recall done and had no problems regardless of the service advisor, it's all in the tech.

^^ yup its all about the tech, i take my car to newport lexus, and i request the same tech. so the same guy is always working on the car, so he knows it. and knows not to damage the wheels, no wash, etc.

Well that sucks, Richard was helping me out with all kinds of things. I have to take my car back there for some suspension work. Is Kerry still in the parts department? Maybe he has some insite on which SA or tech to request...

When I was dealing with Toyota, I used the same advisor and requested a specific tech perform work on the car. Always been happy.
My latest inquiry to the same Lexus dealer, I was quoted two different prices from two different advisors for the same service. Same parts, service time but the spread was $275.
