I just came back from getting a smog check at AUTO CHECK CENTER and I have nothing but great things to say. They are lowered car friendly, cheap, and reliable. The smog check came out to a super price of 28 dollars out the door.
That Includes the electronic submission to DMV.

Is this a Test-only station? If so then that's a steal! But the whole "free retest if we do the repair" tells me it isn't.


I use to know a Test-Only shop that only charges $30 out the door, but the guy retired.

LOL... That place is desperate for customers that's why. So take advantage but also be wary at the same time.

BTW, that place is NOT a Test ONLY center.

Im not too sure about the differences between retest and test only places, but I was in/out and passed smog for 28 dollars.

Retest means if you fail, you can take the test again without paying additional fee, if they provide it for 'free'.

A Test-only station is strictly a station that do not do any mechanical repairs becaus ethey're not allowed to. Older cars will most likely have to go to test-only stations.
