though we can use the rain big time, what a horrible time for a rainstorm! everyone always waits till the last minute to shop for christmas gifts, and now they have to deal with this. but 5+ hours is nothing. it's not like forecasters predicted this was going to end soon anyway- just hopefully passing us by wednesday at the latest, hopefully.

Last night we heard near constant sirens going. If you have to be out, drive careful and watch for the ice holes that drive like it is summertime.
With all the water being kicked up, have those lights on too.

i wont even bother drive to work starting monday, gotta take train or bus. freeway is just crazy during rain

That didn't help me when I needed to put the trash bins out. It had stopped during the morning so I got dressed. Minute I opened the door it started again and didn't let up til a short spell back. Backyard has 3" water at the lowest point.

Any event, I'm going to be growing roots at home working till about Thursday. Hopefully the weather stays as predicted and it stops that day.

I heard the rain is supposed to carry through the weekend?! I am supposed to drive up to Pomona on Saturday am. I hope it is not as bad as yesterday.

yay , tis the season I deal with idiot drivers become even more idiotic drivers , its a strange world here in socal on how we can survive earthquakes , drive by shootings and uninsured motorists , and yet once water starts falling from the sky , chaos occurs on the streets

I think rain makes stupid people think that they have an excuse to act even more stupid than they normally would. Some idiot at Costco came within 3ft of hitting me because he was trying to park/load under the overhang (around the entrance/exit area) which is in a clearly marked fire lane...and it was barely drizzling. I looked at the guy and shook my head in disbelief.
