The guy I'm talking to at Gruppe-S is telling me that its not worth the money to tune my car

Do you guys agree? Says I will only gain about 5 HP on the Mustang dyno over there.

I appreciate his honesty if correct, but want to dig into this further.

I was surprised to hear this after my research in the GS performance section where guys are saying they are getting +20HP/TQ with NEO tune and they have the same set up as me.

I really want to go through with a tune as I just bought a NEO and plan on ordering the Boomslang harness.

Need recommendations from locals who have gone through with NEO tune!!

slow,

you gotta appreciate their honesty. not a lot of places will turn away a customer who is willing to pay them with their hard earned money. not sure about the results from your mods. but it looks like your ecu with the srt intake should maximize that and minimize any gain with a tune. you might be able to contact srt and have them retune that ecu for your mods, so you wont need the neo.

as far as eddie's contact info i dont have that. just call up the shop at 949.457.1234

Good to see you going this route! Search some of Rock-A-Lex's or Denut-L's thread's. There is a 15-20whp gain to be made with an apexi neo and a good tune. I'm actually look for a good shop to tune my car now that i have my headers installed. I will give dynamic a call.

Good luck and let me know if you find a good tuner for our car.

The customer service at these SoCal tuner shops is TERRIBLE!

You are lucky if you get any reply email from them at all, and when they do respond its like a 4 word reply.

I have left 2 vms with Dynamic and no return call.

Guess I'm just used to the great service I get with my mechanic Sonny. Totally different animal when trying to work with a tuner shop.

Help me out CL.....still looking for a good tuner for the 2nd gen GS that has good customer service!

Yeah long time no talk man. We gotta meet up one of these days. My car has come quite far since last time you saw it! I'll try giving them a call tommorow and see what happens. I've also got a buddy who owns a shop down here in Carlsbad i'll see what he says about any good dyno tuners around here. Maybe we could get a package deal for both our cars. Who knows.

Not sure how far you live from there, but I think your best bet is to go down to Dynamics/Gruppe-S and talk to a mechanic and schedule a dyno. I'm fortunate enough to live very close to the shop, so I've gotten my car worked on over a handful of times there, and I can definitely vouch for them and their workmanship

Call FSR Motorsports and speak to Ian. I guarantee you that you'll get an honest straight forward service. I'm not even a customer of theirs as I do all my work myself. But from what I saw on the track, as they provide free track support to the supraforums group, they're very knowledgeable and honest. You can see the track threads on the socal section of the Supraforums.com.
