$200 Ticket?!?! WTF?

correct they can....and the amount is bumped up. There are few exceptions to the tint law but its very specific and most of us will not qualify for it.

should make something clear. there is no "should" or "shouldn't". it's all up to the cop to decide if he wants to give out the courtesy to mark it correctable or not correctable

So, tints have been removed many months ago. Went to a CHP, had it written off. I went to the court, and told them I got the $25 to pay for this, because it is a fix-it-ticket. She said I'd have to speak to the judge.
My court date is this Tuesday. What do I say?
"Your honor, I believe the officer made a mistake by marking it as a non-correctable violation. I removed my tinted windows, went to my local CHP office, and had my ticket written off. Can you please give me a correctable fix-it-ticket?"
^Will something like this work?

But I already removed my tints.
I don't have $200. I got $25.
What I wrote up there, will the Judge be ok with it, and just give me a new ticket so I can pay the $25, instead of paying the $200?
