This is not something hold on a wall repair shop can do...

(1) I would call my insurance agent first... and see what they say...

(2) If that no good, call around licensed shops... call everywhere... you never know, maybe you'll find the one whom can able to do more than just oil change and tune up.

Especially your car being HYBRID car, it needs to be done by someone who knows what they're doing.

Or he divorced his wife over it and she took the PC

J/K

If he was serious i hope he gets it fixed cheaper, i can't imagine footing the bill on a $17,000 repair

Sounds like a great excuse to drop in a 2JZ and have enough $ left over to take a vacation. Leave the 400H badge...that would be an ultimate laugh for drivers looking at the rear end and hearing the exhaust note.

Option 2 :

Tow it to the dealer & get all pissy with them cause it wont start, claim you have NO CLUE what happened...."I came out this morning & it wouldnt start.?????"..the Last thing you wanna do is cop to it....

they will probably warranty it because they will want you to buy another lexus they will make more from you being hapy and buying anther car i na few years than they lose by fixing this problem, & you can be sure this is not a 17k cost to them.... some one is trying to Bone you withthat estimate... ...you just gotta play cool and as stupid as a doorknob

or........ certain females when it comes to automotive ANYTHING...
