Untrue unfortunately.

V.C. 2804. A member of the California Highway Patrol upon reasonable belief that any vehicle is being operated in violation of any provisions of this code or is in such unsafe condition as to endanger any person, may require the driver of the vehicle to stop and submit to an inspection of the vehicle, and its equipment, license plates, and registration card.

V.C. 2806. Any regularly employed and salaried police officer or deputy sheriff, or any reserve police officer or reserve deputy sheriff listed in Section 830.6 of the Penal Code, having reasonable cause to believe that any vehicle or combination of vehicles is not equipped as required by this code or is in any unsafe condition as to endanger any person, may require the driver to stop and submit the vehicle or combination of vehicles to an inspection and those tests as may be appropriate to determine the safety to persons and compliance with the code.

If you deny them searching under your hood, nowadays, they are more likely to just call and impound your car for you then let you go

You should have this sticker affixed somewhere in your engine bay near the intake....

It was in La Puente. CHP is ruthless. Rolled up my gf in her scrubs and treated her like she drove a rice rocket with a motor swap lol.

What do you show for the Exhaust ???

The OEM Part numbers on the piping... ?

Obviously these tickets will have to be dropped.. But I am sure it will time consuming..

If I recall, there was a card for the F-Sport exhaust with a disclaimer, just like the L-Tuned one. I thought I took a pic of it but no dice. There was no Carb EO# for the exhaust.

As for the intake...it does have a carb EO...and here's the documentation on ARB's page...

Exhaust like muffler doesn't have Executive Order numbers on them. Only headers does. Usually when you buy any aftermarket parts, and it's CARB certified, it should come with a sticker.
