Default Someone bent my rear license plate...

So I woke up last friday at 7am, to find my rear license plate bent half way, not sure what this person was trying to accomplish but was an easy fix... Didn't inform law enforcement...

Same thing happened to my coworker....

Anyone else get this ??? And what's the motive?? I don't have any enemies lol

Bent license plate? Did someone park too close to your car? Do you or your co-worker have personalized plates? Did you parallel park?

I've heard sometimes thieves bend the license plate and use it to trigger the hood latch. (I dunno how but they do apparently) But this is the rear...hmm..

If you think about it logically, the bending of a physical metal plate that is only attached by 2 screws on the car's trunk or bumper, cannot "trigger" any latches. Unless you physically look for the pull cable.

I have found my front license plate bent the same way and fixed it as well. But i feel something is off. People dont just go arpund bending license plates and with all the "stuff" happening in the world i am deeply concerned about it.
what is a common denominator between the bent license plates?? You don't have to answer but do you have children? A single parent? Female or male???
I did not report it either .. i have questions. I havent heard about anyone else in my immediate area having any troubles with this. Im on guard..
and fyi.. my vehicle is an 04 it isnt beat up or beat down but definitely not something anyone would want to steal. There are NO VALUEABLES IN THE CAR AT ANY TIME!!
