Do you guys play the white elephant game the way where people get something good and somthing bad like a gag gift? The way I have played is more like no gag gifts all good stuff, make or assign numbers, draw or remember the numbers, call on #1 they pick a gift and open it, #2 can either pick a new gift or take #1"s gift, if taken #1 picks a new gift then #3 picks a gift or takes #1 or #2's gift and so on. Note: the gift can only be taken twice then its off limits. Is this sort of the way you guys play?

Since I'm Supreme Court Justice of TLN, I will set up the rules and be mediator.

Gifts should be fun. No cheap gag gifts like a Cup-O-Ramen, a bag of kidney beans, or crap like that.
I've said in the past that it should be around $20, so make it thoughtful and festive.

For the first guy to choose, they have no choice but to pick randomly at the pile. For the last guy to choose, he knows all the gifts that are available, except the last wrapped one.
