Exclamation The Pursuit 3: Ground Rules, FAQ, & Itinerary

PLEASE READ THESE GROUND RULES FOR THIS SUNDAY'S EVENT:
  1. The gates will open at 10:00 am, and there is absolutely no incentive to get there before then - there's no "first 100" giveaways, no early-bird specials, no nothing. All you'll be doing by getting there early is wasting your own time and giving Irwindale PD extra time to look for reasons to give you a ticket.
  2. 1/8 mile drag participants are encouraged to arrive at 9:30 am. We will separate you immediately and park you in the tech check area. Tech check will start at 10:00 am. The drag strip will start at 11:00 am sharp.
  3. PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED. PERIOD.
  4. Entrance is from Live Oak Ave.
  5. Raffle tickets will be given to registrants who drive their Lexus vehicles to the meet. No Lexus = No raffle ticket.
  6. If you plan on drag racing your vehicle, please read and familiarize yourself with the Toyota Speedway Drag Rules. All racers will be subject to these rules, and must pass tech inspection in order to be eligible to race. http://www.toyotaspeedwayatirwindale...eet_rules.html
  7. Sales of ANY KIND are prohibited on the racetrack grounds. Anyone caught conducting business of any kind will be immediately asked to leave by race track security.
  8. While in the display/parking area, speeding, revving, and burnouts are STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Anyone caught doing this will be immediately asked to leave by race track security.
  9. We have consulted with CHP and Irwindale local law enforcement, and they are aware of this event. When arriving/departing, please obey rules of the road. CHP will be on the lookout for displays of excessive speed on the convoys and streets around the race track.
  10. Registration does not guarantee you a t-shirt. There is a limited supply of shirts, and only registered attendees are eligible to receive t-shirts. Once we run out, that's it.

The Pursuit 3 - FAQ:

Q: Is this a car show?
A: NO, this is a Lexus owners & enthusiasts MEET!

Q: Do I have to pay for this event?
A: NO, this event is absolutely FREE!

Q: What if my car is bone stock?
A: This is a Lexus MEET. Stock or modified, it doesn't matter. All Lexus cars will be parked together.

Q: Can I bring guests?
A: YES! Registered Lexus owners who drive their cars to the event are eligible to receive t-shirts (while supplies last), guests are not.

Q: Can a non Lexus owner come to the event?
A: Absolutely! However they will not be able to park in the designated Lexus parking areas, participate in the 1/8 mile drag run (unless pre-approved by JamesN) or register for the raffles.

Q: Can I bring a pet?
A: NO. Toyota Speedway strictly prohibits any pets and animals on the property unless as an aid for disabled guests.

Q: Where I can I find a staff member during the meet?
A: You will find them wearing ORANGE ‘Pursuit III’ t-shirts.

Q: Can I convoy to the meet?
A: Yes you can - here's a list of groups coming from various areas of California:

562 convoy
714 convoy
213/310/323 convoy
909 convoy
626 convoy
909/951 convoy
619/858 convoy

See you Sunday!

Quick Q:

Is local law enforcement aware of the meet? Will they be present?

I sorta want them there to keep away troublemakers (like stupid people doing burnouts, donuts, etc...).

They are aware, and probably will be visible before and during the event.

This will be an awesome event. Why would you want to leave early?
We got lots of great prizes to give away.

But to answer your question. We would like for those who attend the event to stay put until at least after 11am. Roll in time start at 10am. So there will be lots of cars moving around during that time. This will help ease the traffic my team would have to deal with. Thank you.

Here you go.

All racers and passengers are required to wear long pants, shoes and a shirt with sleeves. Racers competing with cars quicker than 8.59 (1/8 mile) are required to wear an approved helmet (See NHRA Rulebook). No passengers are allowed in vehicles faster than 8.59

Also, your passenger will have to show valid ID/Driver License at the Tech Inspection booth before they can be sign in to get a wrist band as a passenger. Thank you.
