LOL you guys have got to be kidding. just because it's a nice neighborhood, it doesn't mean nothing bad happens there.

and being "predominantly all white"...white people don't do anything bad? haha

Sorry to hear about this. I'll forward this to my friends that go to school there.

I know exactly what you mean. My Honda Accord was stolen a week before Christmas 2 years ago from a really nice neighborhood in Santa Monica. They did find the car... in Watts but I lost about 4k in electronics and only had liability insurance... never cought the peopel that did it.

My previous NA 300ZX was stolen in Lakewood with back-then-new XXR 962's. All they took was $50 headunit, not even broken glass. 3 years later still got them on my TTZ.

I graduated UCSD and it's relatively safe but surrounding areas on the streets are dark so it's perfect for theives. Schools generally aren't places where you would want to park your fixed up cars. Some loser even took a hubcap off of my stock camry at one of UCSD lots.

I'm sorry to hear that happened. I'm not from California, but I did see your thread. Hopefully you get your stuff back soon.

I just had one of my cars broken into over Thanksgiving and I live in a pretty nice neighborhood. It just shows that this can happen almost anywhere, no matter the location.

+1 on this...

Thieves prey on those who think it's "too nice to happen here."
