Default New Member Intro

Hey everyone just wanted to kind of introduce myself as a new member. I recently bought a 92 LS 400 and just love the car! It's got 182K miles on it, but it runs circles around other cars I've owned with far less miles. So far the only thing I've noticed is a hissing sound like from a bad water hose. It didn't show any signs of leaking from any of the hoses and when I checked them and they're good. I took it to the shop and the mechanic showed me where the problem was, it's a bad rear freeze plug just above the transmission. He wants $300 to repair but the part costs a mere $3.99!!!! It's a little cramped to get to but I should be able to do it myself since I've replaced them before on other cars. The plug looks like it's about 1/2 inch in diameter (it's the small freeze plug) so my plan is to put the car up on ramps, grab a light, and just replace it. Sooooo much information here, what an awesome club! Anyhow, from So Cal - hey everyone!
