Default New to LA- Any Suggestions

I just relocated to LA from Houston. And my first stop was Keyes Lexus for an oil change. Long story short they performed the recall on the fan, two weeks later I received a call telling me that they put the wrong part in. No apologies nothing The worst customer service ever. So now my car is at Beverly hills lexus for an oil change.... Lets hope they have decent customer service.

1. I know my brakes are due to be changed, any recommendations for a shop?
2. Any good service advisers out there?

I stay in north hollywood and work in the miracle mile area

2k racing on reseda. Other than aftermarket parts, they do maintenance as well. I bring my car there as well as my wife's scion for little stuff like brakes and oil change.

1. Tommy at music box is a good man! He'll take care of the brakes!
2. Longo has always treated me well. I went to several other Lexus dealers before and they all seemed so snooty to me.

generally you have to travel outside of the LA area to get better service. most LA (city) owners really don't care for their cars (compared to us who baby ours) and the dealerships and shops reflect that. you have to venture out.

tommy music box in el monte (indy shop)
luxury motor works in monrovia (ex-lexus techs opened their own shop)
longo lexus in el monte (dealership)

I, too, would recommend Tommy for pretty much anything on our cars. The guy just knows how to get things done, and done right. Very often, you will see an IS F owner there for something installed or to just shoot the breeze with him. He's very down to earth and just an all around great guy.

I try not to go to the Longo dealership during peak times during the year (hate crowds), otherwise have had great experiences. Smiles all around.
