We watched this video and that had us wanting doughnuts. What we've found local seems pretty common and nothing like the combinations in their video. Any suggestions for unique doughnuts?
Donut Man in Glendora is well known for their strawberry donuts. Good place to stop by as you're coming down Glendora Mountain Road. If you want something like VooDoo Donuts in Portland, Oregon, I would suggest Zombee Donuts in Fullerton.
Last weekend we did a coffee run to Free Soul Cafe in Tustin then to Tru Bru in Orange. The doughnut shop across from Tru Bru was closed so that empty spot remained. With these suggestions we'll have some spots to hit up on the next coffee hunt.
Phil... Love those pics...what is the one on the top left corner and the two round ones on the lower right?

The top one is a specialty donut; most likely Mud Pie (oreo cookie crumble with peanut butter and icing) IIRC.
The small ones are their "bite size" donut holes (usually $2 each) which is simply a cake donut with a flavored frosting; the two look like creme brulee (the glossy one) and cream cheese (the frosty one)
Was in Fountain Valley today and stopped in at Crafted Donut. Thanks Phil! Ate a blueberry one there, brought back a basic glazed and a creme brulee as well as these two.
