Need mechanic in LA to install used ABS unit
Hi All, does anyone know an LA-based Lexus mechanic who will install a used ABS brake unit to replace my broken one?
My 2001 GS430 has 214K miles and the ABS brake booster pump died. I have constant buzzer and brakes barely work. I have a great Lexus mechanic for 6 years who pulled the codes and asked for $2600 to replace the unit. Instead I bought a used OEM ABS brake booster Master pump assembly on Ebay pulled from another 2001 GS with much lower miles, and I have it here and ready to install. My mechanic won't install used brake parts. Anyone have a tip on what mechanic would be willing to remove my broken one and install the replacement ABS unit? I'm in the Sherman Oaks/Van Nuys area. Any help is appreciated, Thanks.
