Default ECU Check during Smog Check

Now that SMOG checks now check for aftermarket ECU tunes, how is everyone dealing with this? Has anyone failed and been sent to the state ref?

I have a flash tune on my RC300 and I saved my stock flash tune, but I was wondering if there was anyway to check the Calibration ID for my stock tune?

For my Evo, I would use an opensource like ECUFlash and EvoScan, does Lexus have anything similar?

Revert back to stock.

Drive till emission system is set... Maybe a month prior to smog test... monitors take a while to set

Be careful with the whole 'revert to stock' thing.

Most ECUs nowadays have a checksum that ticks up every time the ECU is flashed. Even if you're on a stock load, your checksum will never be zero again and <CAN> fail SMOG. No way to get around it, judging by what I've read on other forums.

on the 2001 and up lexus and toyotas, when you load the original calibration file back onto the ecu the checksum comes up the same as original.
I've done it at least 100 times now for various reasons.

I can say from experience that unless major changes are made, the new test doesn't work too well lol.
