Sort of related posts. Lexus of Santa Monica wants $200 just for an oil change for an ‘18 rx450h? This is my wife’s car so I haven’t really been keeping abreast of service costs but the last time I took in my Mazda to a dealership, they wanted between $40 and $60
So, which leads to my second question. Are there any decent independent shops that have the electronic setup or whatever to work on late model lexuses in the LA West side?
TIA

What is this electronic set up you speak of? I am curious about indy shops on the west side as well. I've just been going to the stealership to log the service intervals and it is quite pricey. I know of a few shops closer to the 405 and they're always busy. I did see that Lexus of Beverly Hills has a coupon for an $69 oil change for a V6 (IIRC $89 for a V8).

Nothing specific re electronics; just the capability to work on later model cars for routine service. I heard that manufacturers have been making things more restrictive and there are increased capital costs for independent service providers to even be able to work on a car
