RR Racing Ultimate Steering Response System (USRS)
Greetings all 3IS owners!
Some of you may have already read about the great reviews our Ultimate Steering Response System (USRS) is getting on the ISF forums, but this upgrade will also transform the steering response and handling of your 3IS as well.
One thing that is important to emphasize is that this is not just a replacement bushing. We have designed a bushing/housing system that eliminates all the thrust movement of the standard or upgraded bushings.
By eliminating excessive movement of the soft stock lower control arm bushing, we dramatically improved steering response and feel during hard cornering, without the excessive vibration and harshness associated with race-only hard spherical bearings. As illustrated in our image gallery, the OEM suspension control arms, under braking and cornering, actually move with respect to the chassis. This results in increased understeer, non-linear steering response, and reduced stability under hard braking conditions, and in many cases excessive inner tire wear, a well known problem on many Lexus models. We have designed our USRS to significantly reduce all dynamic toe changes and lateral deflections!
Please watch the video below for a detailed overview of USRS and on-car comparison between USRS and the Lexus OEM bushing.
Summary of Features:
•Our bushing virtually eliminates unwanted suspension movement, that lead to changes in toe, caster, and camber while turning and braking.
•Our redesigned housing increases static caster by 0.3-0.5 degrees. Increased caster improves steering feel and camber gain when cornering.
•Comes as a complete and assembled bushing & housing assembly - no costly labor and hassle in pressing out old OEM bushings.
•Redesigned 6061-T6 lower control arm housing designed to be stronger than OEM to withstand increased thrust loads.
•Extremely tough 95A durometer polyurethane bushing -- backed by our lifetime guarantee!
•Polyurethane bushing features fully fluted design on shaft and thrust side for enhanced lubrication. Also features end seal to keep dirt out.
•Track tested and track proven on our shop IS-F!

So is it 95 or 88 duro? Do you make both? A slightly softer one may suit some road conditions.
Looks like a great product!
Hi, our intial test batch used 88 duro and 95 duro. We ended up going with 95 duro because of the added stiffness, and no increase in NVH that we could tell.
If you want 88 duro, we have those bushings as well and will gladly supply the USRS with 88 duro if you wish.

Almost forgot video we put together that really shows how much stiffer and more responsive the USRS is.
Please note:
(1) ZERO rear movement of the lower control arm shaft.
(2) ZERO lateral deflection of the bushing during cornering
(3) MINIMAL lateral deflection of the bushing during braking.

Thank you for your reply. Will certainly consider this upgrade soon. Keep more info coming please.
did you have it yet ? can you give me some review about it and do you need aligment after you install it ? thanks
You don't need an alignment, but you should get one anyway since factory toe settings are pretty bad.
Steering feels more direct, little more stiffer, braking feels more constant and slightly increase in NVH. But I mainly bought it for the inner tire wear problem.

thanks you , i got the same problem with the tire like you , i will order it but look like RR racing they don't have it yet in their website , do you know where can i get it ?
RR-Racing is the only place since other vendors here order directly from RR. They have the kit for the car, they are just out of stock. Also RCF, RC, 2IS, or GS (which ever shares the same front suspension) should work on your car as well.
People are having great results with this kit in the other forums as far as the tires go. So we shall see with my tires.
