New from RR Racing... front billet "L" and "F" emblem
Hi all,
We are currently completing our Supercharger kit for the 3IS, as well as the complementary oil cooler. After placing the oil cooler behind the large Lexus badge, we realized we needed to modify the badge to get more cool air to the oil cooler.
That resulted in our new "L" and "F" hollow front badges which we think look MUCH better than the cheapo plastic domed Lexus badge. Our emblems are made from billet 6061 aluminum, and are available in standard silver powder coat finish, or custom powder coat finishes.

How does it mount to the grill?
And with the PCS...likely it will not work. The sensor is designed with a particular spec for the thickness of the emblem in mind.
You won't know til you try, but I'd be surprised if it did.

Let me rephrase the mounting question...the stock emblem has two clips (I believe) and two poles with retaining washers that hold it to the grill. Once the old emblem is removed, how is your new emblem secured to the grill?

Bottom of the emblem has a roughly 1" wide pinch clip. The top has 2 posts with retaining washers.

So we ended up just using black automotive RTV silicone that you buy from the auto store for $4. It holds the emblem in really well, and makes it difficult to vandalize.

Good question... we where going to make clips to bolt in from the back, but decided against that because it would be very easy for vandals to grab the emblem and rip it out while breaking the grill.

From the photo the emblem was laying flat for the photos, that's why I had asked how it was secured.
With the silicone, if someone rips it off, the grill should survive fine.
If you do decide to make ones with some kind of retaining clips to hold it in place, please post the product.
As appealing as the red F Sport front emblem is, I really don't foresee myself siliconing it in place. My OCD is saying a hard No to that...lol!!!

Thanks Rafi...I guess Cheebs response above was in regards to the stock emblem, not your emblem. Glad you chimed in to clarify.
