That sounds nuts. 7.5 hours? Do they think they're dropping the subframe or something? It's two bolts and one big nut on each side. Pretty simple.

^^^^^ I agree..... that doesn't even make sense.
I have installed these bushings a few times now and have the right attachments for my press. I have installed the bushings along side other suspension work each time but if I was just doing the bushings I would guess that it would take me about 1.5 hours from getting the car on the lift to preloading and tourquing the nuts.

It really boils down to 4 bolts and for forgiveness you can loosen the front lateral bushing. I suppose 7.5hrs could pass between when the car comes in and when it leaves after an alignment, but maybe they are using strings and an abacus. Technically speaking unless you get the offset bushings, the new centered version will simply hold the existing alignment as long as it was pressed in properly. So if you just got an alignment done you can keep it where its at.

Same bushings, new car
My '92 SC had the same flaky bushing, only there the fix was to replace the entire control arm with a Supra part(s); problem solved.
My Sister just got an F, so I had read about the tire wear issue, and had my guesses.
I noticed that Ferrari has used the same bushings on all of their cars since the sixties, could they know something, maybe?
Nice to see a fix that doesn't cost as much as complete entire control arms!

A shop local to me quoted me $350 just for the labor no alignment. I think this is way too expensive also, i think $150 is reasonable. Anyone know a reputable shop in the bay area?
I mean for me don't know if this is a worth putting money into to fix this freaking tire wear issue. I don't drive my F very much of at all, I have a 2008 and i only have 20,000 miles on it and am still on the original tires. So to invest $210-$240 shipped to my door with $350+tax for labor about $600 to fix an issue where I only change the tires every 4 years? Humm I really don't know, I mean if I put much more miles on the car its obvious a no brainer, as tires cost an arm and a leg.

OK in my endless paranoia, I have just one (hopefully) last question to ask. Since the product I got looked just slightly different from the picture on the website, and since the model number was also slightly different (my package said SPF3491-90K, while the product web page says G2ISHP-FRLCA-SP3491K-90), I would like to be sure I got the correct part. Can anyone confirm for me?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Any word yet on the solid bushing? I've had these since October waiting for the final word:
