New Product RR-Racing ISF ECU Tune.... FINALLY!!!
#1591
I am not sure if this question has been answered, but say if we order a tune for a basic setup (intake sleeve/filter, cat-back exhaust) and we get more upgrades later down the line (headers, HF cats, etc), do we get to send the ECU back for updated mapping? Will that cost extra?
Basically asking if there is any future-proofing.
Thanks.

If you send your ecu in for tuning then yes you need to send it back in for additional mods/changes. But if you got the handheld all you need to do is have RR send you an updated file. Pretty much the base tune will cover all scenarios unless you get the tuned intake or headers running without the O2 sim. So altitude tune, regular tune and tuned intake. Then obviously the supercharged tune if you have that kinda money.
The exception is if you get the RR tuned intake or RR supercharger. Those require an updated tune mapping.

With the OBD2 hand-held device, is there still need for laptop with Windows or this is just a plug and play now?
As far as tune for cars with headers, any difference for Sikky and PPE or same tune? As I prefer Sikky V2 headers for my car in the short future. For the option to program the ECU to eliminate the potential cells, do you still run the 02 conditioners or do you need to remove them? Or not installing the conditioners assuming the headers will come before the tune.
Is there any video for DIY tuning with the hand held device?

If you have the tune, and opt to eliminate rear o2's, is there any point in even having them any longer?
As in people try and squeeze in the high flow cats in the usual spot prior to the rear o2. Why not just put them in place and unplug the rear o2's all together? Does the ECM still look to them for some sort of signal or is it coded out?

Thank you.... For the option to program the ECU to eliminate the potential cells, do you still run the 02 conditioners or do you need to remove them? Or not installing the conditioners at all (assuming the headers will install right before the tune.) What this option show up on the OBD2 scanner when you do the smog check, indicating that the O2 sensors were disabled, assumed that is how the reprogramming works. Or it simply no cels no problem when smog check test is completed.
As far as smog I cannot answer that question.
